 Dear pete I'm writing to this to thank you for all the amazing you have made with me for camp. You were by far the best adult at camp. You were so easy to to have a conversation with and always so involved in our group activities. You always came and played cricket with us when it was lunch and morning tea. And you were so fast on the luge. So i would like to give a big thank you for always being fun, funny and always pushing me to do activities on camp. So for the last time I would like to give you a big thank you. Not only for camp but for also coaching my rugby team.  From Tyler

I was learing about all souls day and how we remeber the dead and our loved ones that have passed away I found it diffcult to create the flower shape becuase i did it the hard way and made it from shapes while other people just copied a image I enjoyed remebering all the fun memories i had with my uncle Next time i would add two flowers and make the other one smaller

I was learning about our school value for this term service because it is our school value I found it diffcult to find the quotes connecting to service because it came up with other stuff I enjoyed using cool images to exspress service because it was really cool Next time i would use more images because there were not alot

Green Anaconda

The green anaconda weighs up to a significant 550 pounds in weight is one of the largest species of snake in the world. The average length of the snake can range around 4.6m to 3m but in most parts of the world the female anaconda is most definitely always bigger than the male anaconda in weight and length.

The green anaconda is a dark olive brown colour with scaly hot skin covering their whole body. They have black spots down the side of their back and smaller oval spots with yellow centers along their sides. Their eyes and noses are perched on top of their large heads, allowing them to breathe and see their prey in water.

Green anacondas are usually found in warm hot forests. The anaconda can be found in tropical south america. They live in sluggish streams, rivers and swamps and marshes across the world. In the daytime they usually lay on rocks to keep themself cool. When an anaconda hunts for its prey it has to be very strategic in not letting the prey see them and not let it out of its grip around the animal.

The anaconda does not rely on its bite to kill its prey but its huge body to wrap around its prey and suffocate it to death by squeezing its throat and stomach.

Snakes are very fascinating creatures and have a lot of interesting facts about them.

I was learning about catholic social teaching because it was social justice week

I found it difficult to answer the questions because i either did not understand them or i did not know what to say

I enjoyed learning about cst because it set me a challenge to do in my daily life

Next time i would change the size of the texts because they were a bit small 

Mental health speech 2020

 

I was learning about mental health and how it affects people because it was my 2020 speech topic

I found it difficult to memorize my lines and right the whole speech because i only had 3 days to do all this.

I enjoyed sharing my speech to everyone because it gave me a wonderful feeling.

Nextime i would change some words and examples because there are many different ways i could of improved my speech 

Mental health speech 2020

Mental health? Have you ever heard of mental health issues or do you even know what mental health issues are. Every day millions of people suffer from mental health issues but are often too scared to come forward because they believe they can't reach the impossible standards society visions us to be. So today I'm going to tell you why you need to start taking care of your mental health. 

Here in New Zealand we have one of the highest Mental health issues in the world and nearly all of them are teenagers.  If you still don't think mental health is a big issue I have experienced it first hand. I lost my uncle to mental health issues. I never want any family to go through what mine has. You should treat mental health the same as your regular health. If you are struggling you should not be scared to talk with someone about your feelings because everyone's feelings and emotions matter.

There is no cure for mental health problems but you can do things to improve it.You should not spend all of your day worrying about your mental health because that will just make it a lot worse but I would urge you to do those small things each day to improve your mental health and your wellbeing. Like meditation, and positive attitude Some people are scared to talk about their mental health issues because they often think that they can self manage it but really they do need help. And most likely they will refuse help and try to deal with it themselves. This all happens because their head is in the wrong place and if you see people like this make sure you help them. But if you do those things it shows you really care about them. 

I hope I have encouraged you to think more deeply about your mental health. Thank you for listening to my speech.

I found it difficult to find research and the right words to use in my speech because some words were inapropriate.

I enjoyed righting my speech and presenting it because it gave me a great feeling to share my speech to everyone

I was learning about the sacraments of initiation and was writing raps about them because it was our re activity and also our learn create share I found it difficult for us to find words to rhyme because there weren't many I enjoyed singing the rap and showing it because it was a lot of fun Next time i would not rap so loud because i did it a bit loud

I was learning about chimpanzees and how they lived in a zoo I found it difficult to recap about the things i thought because i had to go back into the book and read it again I enjoyed finding out about janie's story because it was so interesting Next time i would change the words i used because i think i could of made more powerful words

Iwi unhappy with ocean sanctuary

The New Zealand government is aiming to establish a ocean sanctuary around the kermadec.

The sanctuary will contain 6 million birds of various species, 35 species of whale and dolphins, three species of turtle and 150 species of fish. Chairperson jamie Tuuta said that the government has ignored the impact the sanctuary would have on iwi fishing interests. 

Also the sanctuary would be off limits to commercial fishing and aquaculture, recreational fishing and fishing related tourism. Let me know what you think of this?  

My matariki breakfast

"Boring old fruit" i said to myself "no ones gonna like that" as i roll up into school with my pink chocolate ice cream container. Near the end of the term our school has been really keen on the matariki theme celebrating the maori new year. The school had set up a matariki breakfast for us to enjoy, everybody had to bring a shared meal. I was looking forward to all the nice tasty food that i was going to enjoy like pancakes sausages donuts and all the delicious meals.

 I thought my fruit was pretty boring considering all the amazing things that other people had brought. As i was walking out to play basketball i saw another teacher bring in nice crispy hash browns, my taste buds squirming all around my mouth wanting a taste of those nice hash browns. when the bell rang i raced to the classroom like a bolt of lightning could see all the nice juicy foods we had a lovely prayers then we were allowed to eat.The girls got up first then us boys raced to the delicous food i only grabbbed a pancake and i definetly put way to much golden syrup on my pancake. The slimey stiky stuff devoured my mouth my tastebuds were in disgust. And then i lost my apatite and could not eat anything else my stomach just could not take it. So then i just read. It was a great matariki breakfast and i loved it.




 

Cuz Te reo translations

I was learning about the maori language and how to translate it because it was my reading activity I found it difficult to find the write words that related to the book because i could not remember everything that huia and river did or said I enjoyed learning new maori words because it was very interesting finding out what the words meant in maori. Next time i would get better images because some images did not relate to the text

I was learning about how people find a missing person threw a description because it was my learn create share I found it difficult to make the character because there we so many shapes to choose from I enjoyed putting down what he looked like because i had never seen him in the book so i had to make it up Next time i would change somethings about the description because i think somethings might of been wrong

transubstantiation meaning

transubstantiation meaning?

the word transubstantiation is a word mostly used by catholics. the word itself means the conversion of the elements the body and blood of christ. Its saying how the bread (the body of christ) and the wine
(the blood of christ) is converted into christ  as the body and the blood.

I was learning about transubstantiation and what it means because we were doing religious education
I found it difficult to pronounce the word because it is so long
I enjoyed writing what it means because it was really complex but i tried to make it as simple as i can
Next time i would change how i explained it because there was a bit more to it
